Hive of information in Motherwell has celebrated its 25th birthday with the help of local nursery pupils

A hive of information about the history of the area we live in has been celebrating its 25th birthday -and has help with that as youngsters from a Motherwell nursery partied on down to mark that.

Motherwell Heritage Centre has now been operating for a quarter of a century –and houses North Lanarkshire’s Archives collections, local and family history services and museum object collection.

Staff welcomed Glencairn Nursery for a special birthday Bookbug session and to explore the permanent exhibit located within the tower of the museum. Meanwhile a family-friendly exihibition called Winter tales, including cartoons, dress-up and soft play is now open.
