Motocyclist dies following road crash in Glasgow’s Southside

A 27-year-old motorcyclist has died following a road accident in Glasgow’s Southside yesterday morning (Monday, April 20).

The crash happened on Kings Park Avenue, Glasgow, at around 10.55am.

The man was riding a red and white Honda motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a white Volkswagen van.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Volkswagen van was uninjured. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Jon Mochan, from Glasgow’s Road Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact us, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.

“I am also keen to hear from any drivers who were on the road at the time who have dash-cam footage, which could also assist our ongoing enquiries into this crash.”
