A creative and kind-hearted local lady, known by everyone in the village of Mugdock, sadly passed away recently.

She worked for many years part-time in the The Wool Shop in Mugdock Road.

Husband George said: “Over the years Freda must have bought half the stock judging by the cupboards full of wool and hundreds of patterns she had in cupboards all round the house and loft.”

She was a beautiful knitter as well as being accomplished in crochet and cross-stitch.

Premature babies also benefited from Freda’s talents - she knitted many a tiny jacket and cosy blanket.

George added: “She
was well known in the village and found it impossible
to walk through it without someone coming up to speak to her.”

The funeral service will be by invitation to Baldernock Cemetery on Friday, January 29.

This will be followed by a live stream of the Thanksgiving service from Findlay Church at 12pm.
