Pic of the Week: Abseiling down Table Mountain by David Hunter

My wife Alexis and I were holidaying in South Africa to see my brother Douglas and family who emigrated some 25 years ago.

This shot was taken early before the usual heat haze from the top of Table Mountain. The photograph was enhanced by members of a climbing club preparing to abseil down the cliff front. I wanted the climbers to be sharp and a diffused view behind, but showing their height. Taken with my Nikon D50, 34 mm lens at F 7.1, speed 1/200 sec.

Pic of the Week is in association with Eastwood Photographic Society — photography for all.
