The area already has a Lidl supermarket and the latest development also includes housing.
South Lanarkshire Council’s planning committee this week granted detailed permission to Barratt Homes West Scotland which is building homes there.
Councillors were told that consent was granted earlier for 76 houses, but Barratt has reduced this to 63 because of “technical constraints” on the site.

Uddingston and Bothwell councillor Maureen Devlin is delighted to see the housing and shopping development progress.
She said: “It was an eyesore for so long and then the ground had to be put on the market again after the downturn in the economy.
“If the demand for new homes there and flats nearby is anything to go by, things are certainly picking up in the area.”
