Plans for luxury homes in rural Newton Mearns setting

Plans for four new detached homes in a rural setting in Newton Mearns have been submitted to East Renfrewshire Council.

The proposed development is on land at Netherplace House, Netherplace Road, a property with extensive grounds.

If approved, the four luxury detached villas will each occupy a plot having an area of between 2500 sq metres and 3300 sq metres.

New access roads will be provided to ensure that as far as possible each property enjoys a high degree of private access.

In a report to the council on behalf of the applicant, Bennet Developments and Consulting says: “The development of these four dwellings will contribute to the dynamic and thrusting concept of the new township and will act as a counter balance to the more mainstream housing development being proposed elsewhere, as is entirely appropriate in the creation of an inclusive development.”
