Plea for help after woman vanishes from home

Police is asking the public to help trace a 56-year-old woman who has been missing since yesterday morning.

Liz Parmar, also known as Liz McCallum was last seen around 8am on Monday, November 23 when she left her home in King Edward Street, Alexandria.

The missing woman is around 5ft 2, with a slim build, short blond hair and blue eyes. When last seen she was wearing a long grey padded coat and brown ankle boots.

Police said Liz’s family is extremely concerned for her as she has recently been dealing with some personal issues and it’s out of character for her not be in touch.

Extensive enquiries are underway with officers checking CCTV footage and speaking with family and friends. As well as enquiries being conducted locally, Officers are also carrying out enquiries in Glasgow as Liz has family there.

Anyone who may have seen Liz or who has any information or knowledge as to her whereabouts is asked to contact police at Dumbarton Police Office as a matter of urgency on 101.
