Plea for help to run village hall festival

East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action has sent out an urgent plea for volunteers to help run Campsie Mayfest.

As yet only two people have responded and help is needed with spreading flyers, refreshments, furniture and equipment, set-up, clearing, cleaning and door duty over the whole festival, which runs as part of Scotland’s Voluntary Arts week in Milton of Campsie Village Hall.

Most of it is free - thanks to an East Dunbartonshire Arts Council grant and volunteers.

The programme of nine events is spread over the week from May 9-15 but focuses on the weekend May 13-15.
