

Constable Rod Gellatly (41), a Strathclyde Police officer, died after a firearm was discharged on Monday, November 5.
It is understood he shot himself.
A civil funeral service took place at Linn Crematorium in Glasgow on Friday.
The service was conducted by Karin Chalmers.

Strathclyde Police Superintendent Gordon Barr, operational support division, gave a eulogy on behalf of the force.
A family friend, Royal Navy Lieutenant Karl Harwood, known as Harry, provided a personal tribute, as did Constable Dawn McMaster, a colleague from Baird Street Police Office.
Assistant Chief Constable Bernard Higgins said: “It is with great sadness that I confirm a serving Strathclyde Police officer died in an incident where a firearm was discharged at Baird Street Police Office.
“A full investigation into the circumstances is currently underway and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Our thoughts are with the officer’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
