Police appeal after hit and run

The driver took off after the incident in the car park at Tesco store in Milngavie.

Almost £1,000 worth of damage was caused to a parked red and yellow Toyota HiAce power van belonging to Gils Motor Factors in Bishopbriggs.

An employee of the firm returned to find the vehicle extensively damaged on the passenger side.

Partner Glen Paterson said: “It’s not a very nice thing to come back and find your van in that state.

“The damage is quite high up on the vehicle and police believe it may have been caused by a heavy bumper on either another van or a 4X4 car.”
