He was last seen on CCTV at approximately 2300 hours on Thursday evening walking on North Hanover Street in the general direction of George Square.

Last night officers were at Buchanan Street Bus Station from 11pm-midnight, speaking with people who routinely use the station on Thursday evenings at the same time David was last seen.

David is described as white, 5’8’’, with a medium build, brown bushy hair with a receding hair line and blue eyes with a noticeable squint to his left eye.

He was last seen wearing a three-quarter length dark jacket, brown cardigan with blue and white chequered shirt, blue trousers and brown shoes.

David Gibson has previously gone missing on a number of occasions before. He routinely takes medication and there is mounting concern for his well-being given the length of time which has passed.

Inspector Janie Thomson-Goldie, who is responsible for community policing across Maryhill, said: “Officers are continuing enquiries to trace David Gibson safe and well. As mentioned in our previous appeal, on previous occasions David has travelled to Edinburgh and as far as Brighton. We have been linking in with public transport operators and colleagues in the British Transport Police to assist in tracing David.

“His family are anxious to see David back safe and well. If anyone has seen David Gibson or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please contact officers at Maryhill Police Office on 101.”
