Police looking for two men following serious assault at Glasgow train station

Two men attacked and robbed another man leaving him with facial injuries that needed hospital treatment in an apparently unprovoked attack in a Glasgow train station last night. (October 16).

At about 10.25pm, a man walked into Argyle Street station and was approached by two others who took his jacket and then seriously assaulted. The two assailants then left in the direction of the Trongate.

They were both white and in their 20s. One was wearing a white tracksuit and the second a black top and jeans.

Investigating officer PC Mark Harrington from BT Police, said: “We are trying to work out the exact circumstances of what happened here, but at the moment we believe this was completely unprovoked.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the station at the time or thinks they may be able to help with the investigation.”
