Police seek help to trace missing girl

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a teenager who has gone missing from Bishopbriggs.

Megan Fanning, 16, was last seen on Tuesday around 12pm at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.

The teenager is known to frequent Argyle Street and also has friends in Livingston, but police and her family are growing increasingly worried about her safety after speaking to her friends.

Officers have also checked CCTV but are now appealing for help from the public to find her.

Sergeant Andrew Fairie said: “We just want to know that Megan is safe and well.

“Her family has become increasingly concerned for her and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Megan or who may have knowledge as to her whereabouts to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Shettleston Police Office on the non-emergency number, 101.”
