Police step up search for missing Dalmuir man

They stopping motorists this week in Dumbarton Road and spoke to around 600 people in a effort to trace the 39 year-old who was reported missing from his home in Durban Avenue around 5.15, just over three weeks ago.

Police said that following media appeals a further sighting of William outside his home address was reported to them around 12.30am on Tuesday 19 July.

William is described as white, around 5ft 10 inches in height and of medium build with short brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a light coloured top, grey hooded jacket with orange flecks at the collar and light grey tracksuit trousers.

William is known in the local community as a keen dog walker and owns a Staffordshire terrier cross-breed called Zak. The dog was found at home after William was reported missing.

Inspector David Quinn from Clydebank Police Office said: “I would like to thank everyone we spoke to for their co-operation. Officers are looking through the details gathered and we will follow up any information gained.

“William’s family are distraught at not knowing where he is and I would urge anyone who has further information about his whereabouts, or information that may assist this enquiry to contact the team at Clydebank Police Office on 101.”
