Police swoop on Pollokshields flat

SOME £43,000 has been siezed after police swooped on a southside flat.

Other items, including documents, were also taken from the property in Forth Street, Pollokshields, by officer from Strathclyde Police’s major crime and terrorism at around 6.50am on Tuesday.

Police say a 44-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged fraud offences.

Detective inspector David Perrit said: “Through effective intelligence gathering, help and support from the community we can successfully detect and arrest those involved in criminality and cause considerable disruption to them.
