Clydesdale South 2014 by-election: Donna Hood (Cons)

Lesmahagow business woman Donna Hood has been selected to stand as the Conservative candidate in the Clydesdale South by-election.

The by-election will take place on Thursday, June 5, following the resignation of SNP Councillor Archie Manson.

Living in Lesmahagow with her young family and with deep roots in the community, Donna promises to be a strong voice for local people on South Lanarkshire Council.

She grew up in Douglas where she went to primary school, before her family moved to Lesmahagow.

Speaking following her selection, Donna said: “I am delighted to have been selected and I am really looking forward to running a positive local campaign.”
