Bidding process for East Renfrewshire Council houses reopens

East Renfrewshire Council has resumed its online council house bidding process.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing restrictions have prevented the Council from allocating any houses on a permanent basis in order to protect the health of both applicants and staff.

As we’re now entering into a recovery phase, the Council says that current restrictions now allow some progress to be made.

Properties which are available to let are now being advertised online and applicants are being invited to make bids.

Initially bids will be restricted to those in the most urgent housing need. However, over the coming weeks, bids will be invited from other categories of applicants.
