“Labour have fallen away in East Renfrewshire. They have lost their MP and MSP and will likely lose many Councillors come May 4.

“They cannot and will not stand up to the SNP. Only the Scottish Conservatives can beat the SNP here in East Renfrewshire.

“I will be working tirelessly in the weeks ahead to gain the trust and support of residents who will be my number one priority if elected, not independence.”

Adding his support to the campaign, Eastwood MSP and Scottish Conservative Deputy Leader Jackson Carlaw said: “Paul would make a superb local MP committed to backing our local community and not another divisive referendum.

“With polls showing the rise of the Scottish Conservatives and the decline of Scottish Labour we really are the only Party able to beat the SNP.

“It is time for a change in East Renfrewshire, time for a MP not defined by narrow nationalism but someone who will champion our community and that man is Paul Masterton.”
