Precious photographic documentation of Cumbernauld needed for posterity
Nostalgic snaps like this atmospheric image of Meadow View will be prized at a special event in the newly revamped Muirfield Centre in Brown Road on Saturday, September 24.
We’ve been asked to remind readers that a free exhibition is being set up which will showcase the town’s architectural and social history.
We’re sure a lot of our readers will have photographs like this and the organisers of the event, from Edinburgh University, will take a digitalised image of them and hand them back to you.
The aim is to create a lasting archive and the event runs from 10am to 4pm - and will even include free guided tours.
