Protest against plans for 100 homes in Brocketsbrae

A BROCKETSBRAE woman claims that local residents will vehemently protest against controversial plans to build up to 100 new homes there.

Jean Bryson (79), who has lived in the village’s Hawksland Road for 45 years, has vowed to fight ‘tooth and nail’ against the proposal for Brocketsbrae Road by developer Mar Retail.

She said: “It would be very upsetting for local people if these houses were built on what is currently a field.

“There is no room here for these proposed properties.”
