Pupils ‘Bett’ on new sensory room

Pupils from Isobel Mair School in Newton Mearns received a bumper boost at the end of last year, thanks to the school’s neighbour Bett Homes.
Bett Homes has donated £1,000 to equip the school with Android tablets for the children. To say thank you, the children have created two garden scene canvases, which they will be presenting to Bett Homes Sandra Lockhart and Alison Maternaghan at their assembly on December 5th 2014.

The housebuilder has donated £1,000, which will be used to build a new sensory room – a therapeutic space that will provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children with special educational needs.

To say thank you, the pupils created two unique artworks, which they presented in the form of canvas prints to Sandra Lockhart of Bett Homes at the school’s assembly.

“We were delighted to receive the artwork, and will hang the pieces with pride in our sales and marketing suite. There are obviously some very creative and talented children in Newton Mearns.”
