Pupils ‘express’ themselves for top marks

Winners of a prestigeous art award were announced yesterday (Wed) with Williamwood High pupilsamong the top of the class on their first outing in the contest.

This was the first year the school has entered, seeing off more than 100 entries in St Enoch Centre’s It’s My Greener Glasgow art.

Alice Beglan Grant came third in the expressive art category. She and pupils Chelsea Kidd, Cameron Hogg and Rosetta Lam were also described by judges as “artists who excelled from a very good overall entry from Williamwood”, winning a special recognition in the expressive category.
