As gold and silver winners, Lauren and Eve got to attend the grand prizegiving at the famous Glasgow gallery.

Eastwood High head teacher Stuart Maxwell said: “Congratulations to Lauren, Eve and Amardeep.

“The girls’ entries beat competition from all over Scotland and their work was of a truly excellent standard.”

The annual Kelvingrove art competition is open to pupils of all ages, from nursery to secondary school age. It is in its 111th year this year.

Entries are judged within age bands and winners are awarded gold, silver and bronze medals at the prizegiving ceremony.

Work is judged by professional artists and art educators.
