Former Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper Rab, who now plays for Forfar, has been an active fundraiser for the Beatson for the past 17 years after losing his close friend Gordon Cowan to the disease.

The Beatson Cancer Charity was launched recently and Rab is encouraging other local residents to give their support to this fantastic cause.

He said: “The care Gordon received while he was going through his treatment was second to none and the staff at the Beatson were a great source of support to his family while they were going through such a difficult time.

“His family and I are determined to do all we can to give something back in return.”
