Dawn (38) became involved with Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland, over two years ago, and she now volunteers in two of the services it offers.

But she is so impressed with the work it does that she decided to raise funds for it as well.

Dawn said she was attracted to the charity because of the type of work it did. She is a communication support worker for stroke survivors, and also a volunteer driver for the charity.

She and husband Douglas are keen walkers looking forward to the 67-mile Borders Abbey Way.
