Record-breaking ladies lunch

The ladies of the Breast Cancer Care Committee are delighted to announce a record-breaking fundraising total from the annual Southside Ladies Lunch.

The event, held on Sunday at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Pollokshields, included a champagne reception, lunch, entertainment from singer Suzanne Murphy, as well as an auction and raffle prizes.

The committee - Babette Nadell, Andrea Fox, Sam Selkirk, Kate MacNeil and Lotta Cates - were joined by Breast Cancer Care speaker Shona Smith.

Andrea told The Extra: “We raised over £11,000 at the lunch - our best ever.

“The committee would like to thank The Sherbrooke, all the sponsors who so generously donated prizes and all our guests who made the day such a success.

“We look forward to organising next year’s lunch.”
