Red card for fraud

PEOPLE throughout East Renfrewshire are being encouraged to report fraud or bribery they witness as part of the council’s zero tolerance approach to these crimes.

ERC is asking people who may have concerns about potential corruption, fraud or bribery to flag them up to the authority.

Those concerned by this can report to the council either by calling a confidential helpline or through e-mail.

Councillor Iain McAlpine, the convener for corporate serices, said: “The council is committed to ensuring that quality services are developed and delivered for the benefit of the community of East Renfrewshire.

“As part of this, the council is taking all the steps it can to protect public assets and interests and encouraging anyone with concerns to get in contact.”

Those who have concerns can raise them with an electronic form at www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/fraud or by calling the confidential phone line on 0141 557 8670.
