Registration services move to community hub

Registration Services in Kirkintilloch has bid farewell to its previous home on Southbank Road and moved to Kirkintilloch Community Hub.

Customers will now access the service by calling into the Community Hub,located on West Main Street, where they can register births, stillbirths, deaths, civil partnerships and marriages in a private room.

The move is part of East Dunbartonshire Council’s Click Call Come-in Strategy which aims at increasing access to services and information and improving customers’

experience when they interact with the council.

Council Leader Rhondda Geekie said: “It is important to emphasise that the only thing that is changing is where the service is delivered from. The trained customer service agents will deliver the same quality service at the Community Hub, providing a positive customer experience.

“With more agents delivering the service at the Community Hub this new way of working should be easily accessible for customers.”

It will be business as usual for the Municipal Bank which will continue to operate from the Southbank Road office until 13 February 2015. Customers looking to make rent and Council Tax payments will be able to do so online, by telephone or at payment kiosks located in the community hubs
