Retired sports commentator speaking at Bearsden Literary Society meeting
Bearsden Literary Society is delighted to welcome retired sports commentator, Alastair Alexander, to their meeting on Monday, February 8.
Since his retirement, Alastair has pursued his interest in naval warfare and will describe the research he has undertaken which has led to the publication of his book, Action Stations! U-Boat Warfare on the Clyde.
This promises to be a fascinating insight into a little known chapter of our local history.
Meetings are held in the Lower Hall, St Andrew’s Church, Bearsden Cross at 7.45pm. Members and guests alike are welcome, with a charge of £4 per visitor and £1 for students.
