Ribbons all round for caring Carolside kids

Carolside girls Samantha Barsanti and Sophia Maudsley put their creative talents to good use recently in aid of Cancer Research.

The duo (10) made more than 600 ribbons in pink, white and blue and sold them at Carolside Primary in honour of a family member of Samantha’s — and they sold out by lunchtime, raising a whopping £429.

They said: “We were so happy that we raised so much — this will help people just like Samantha’s auntie to beat cancer.”

Proud mum Lorna Barsanti added: “We’re so proud of the girls using their initiative and time to raise such a fantastic amount — Sophia even managed it with a broken arm!”
