Rural groups share over £80,000

Nourish Scotland, Dunaverty Hall in Argyll and the Rural Housing Service have secured grants from the Prince’s Countryside Trust.

Rural Housing Service will use its £42,000 to help island communities develop housing opportunities, while Nourish Scotland will invest £25,000 in a farmers’ training programme.

Dunaverty Hall plan to enhance its community hub with its £15,000.

Claire Saunders, director of The Prince’s Countryside Fund said “The Prince’s Countryside Fund’s grant programme provides an essential lifeline to people living and working in the countryside and is needed now more than ever.

“The fund is delighted to be able to support such a wide range of innovative projects that will provide a lasting legacy to so many communities.”
