Kacey Prior (10) suffered injuries to her left hand and her right side after the accident a few weeks ago at Glenmanor Avenue in Moodiesburn.
Now mum Amanda has set up an online petition calling for safety measures outside Glenmanor Primary School before another child is hurt.

The petition at change.org has already amassed almost 260 signatures.
The petition ‘Protect Our Future’ is calling on North Lanarkshire Council to put traffic calming measures in place at Glenmanor Primary School and all nearby primaries to prevent any further accidents.
Mrs Prior added: “I am now aware of four other road accidents at the same spot – the first 25 years ago, one 11 years ago and another six years ago.
“The traffic is a lot worse now and we don’t want another accident to happen.

“It’s particularly bad when the children are going to school in the morning as commuters use this road.
“Thankfully Kacey was not badly injured and we are so grateful that she is okay.
“I phoned the council and wrote to the roads department who said calming measures like speed bumps have to meet certain criteria.”
She added that road marking and a 20mph speed sign near to the school had had little effect on drivers.

She added: “Something needs to be done about this and that’s why the petition has been set up.”
A council spokesperson said on Monday: “The school worked with our road safety team to create a school travel plan and it actively promotes road safety by participating in the Junior Road Safety programme, which provides the schools with a number of road safety initiatives over the school year.
“Following the recent incident, the road safety team has also arranged two road safety assemblies to raise awareness again among pupils.”
