Saying thanks for Carstairs baby’s life

EVER since their baby daughter was saved by a liver transplant, a Clydesdale couple have been saying “thank you” for her salvation in the best possible way.

In the two years since little Erin McIlvaney got a second chance of life, mum and dad Kirstin and Jamie have raised thousands of pounds to help other families facing the same nightmare they did.

And their latest fundraiser was a Scots night at Lanark Market.

“Since the transplant we have been working hard to try to help other families who find themselves dealing with childhood liver disease,” said Jamie.

“One of the best ways to do this is to fundraise for the Children’s Liver Diseases Foundation.

“This is a charity very close to our hearts as they have been at our side through every bump in the road.
