School charity event after pupil's mum is diagnosed with cancer
Thankfully the cancer is shrinking, but Heather, who now lives in Bellshill, still has another two courses of chemotherapy to go.
After learning her mum was sick, Courtney approached class teacher Lianne Purdie to ask if they could do something to help the charity and then arranged the crazy hair day.

Hide AdThe school also put out collecting buckets and held a tea and coffee afternoon.
In addition Courtney’s brother Jay and his Mill United team mates went under the razor for the Brave the Shave initiative and Steven Macis, the father of Courtney’s friend Lucie, was inspired to complete the Glasgow half-marathon.
Over £1,300 has been raised so far.
