Serious assault probe in Kilsyth after teenager finally approaches police

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses amidst claims that a 16-year-old visitor to Kilsyth was the victim of a serious assault.

It’s alleged that the male, who was visiting the town from Kirkintilloch was set upon in Stirling Road.

The incident was alleged to have happened at 12.30am on Saturday May 7.

Police stress that the incident went unreported for several days but that the alleged victim then opted to come forward.

There is no description of the alleged attacker but police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the scene.
