Many complain fireworks terrify wildlife and household pets, and of course some would like to see them banned altogether - at least outwith licensed public displays.
And last year Collecchio in Italy passed a law stipulating that all fireworks displays must be quiet.

Meanwhile it’s claimed silent fireworks are even better than the standard-issue variety (although silent bangers are probably a non-starter), because they are more colourful.
