Shieldhill Hotel win big at Scottish Wedding Awards

Staff at the Shieldhill Castle Hotel, on the outskirts of Biggar, scooped three awards at the Scottish Wedding Awards, including the prestigious Scottish Wedding Venue of the Year.

Shieldhill also won the South West Wedding Venue and the best Local Wedding Exhibition awards at the ceremony in Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza.

Hotel owner Mary Yuill said: “The awards will take pride of place in the hotel.

“We were really pleased just to win the South West region but when our name was read out for the whole of Scotland we couldn’t believe it.

“We were absolutely elated and the staff were overjoyed.”
