VANDALS set a shoe on fire and put it under the tyre of a car.

The bizarre attack on the Volvo car took place in Northgate Road, Balornock, on Sunday, March 3, at around 12.40am.

Damage was caused to the tyres.

In a separate incident, a Nissan Qashqai, was set on fire in Eastburn Place, Balornock, on Friday, March 1, at around 2.30am.

Extensive damage was caused to the car. Anyone with information on the incidents are asked to contact Baird Street Police on 0141 532 4400.
