Solar eclipse - photographed at Douglas, Lanarkshire
PHOTOGRAPHER Sarah Peters was well prepared when the clouds suddenly shifted to allow her a glimpse of the solar eclipse this morning - and here is the result.
“It was a lucky break in the clouds!” said Sarah, who caught the eclipse at Douglas.
Her photo shows all but a tiny bright slice of the sun hidden behind the moon.
Her other photographs show the strange darkness which accompanied the rare spectacle.
