Sounds International sing for Quarriers

Southside community choir Sounds International has provided Quarriers with a cash boost of £1,400.

The choir recently performed at Quarriers Village — and Fiona Scott, the charity’s head of corporate development, events and community fundraising, was happy to visit weekly rehearsals at Stamperland Church Hall afterwards to collect a cheque from choir librarian Susan Martin.

Fiona said: “Our thanks to the choir once more for their incredible generosity and support for Quarriers. The money will go to the services we support and benefit those most in need.”

Sounds International members will now turn their attention to a performance closer to home, at Eastwood Park Theatre on Tuesday, April 28.

The concert, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, will also feature The Williams Jazz Quartet, and tickets are £10 — see www.singglasgow.co.uk for more info.
