Staff and customers help by the trolley-full

A special two day push in support of foodbanks has collected an amazing nine trolley-loads of food in Kirkintilloch.

Customers and staff at the Sainsburys store concentrated on the effort and raised well over £500 worth of food, as well as helping a local charity raise awareness of the work it does in the community.

The shop supports food banks all year round by having a collection point at the front of the store.
