Connor will be back on stage when the show visits the King’s Theatre in Glasgow in March. But for now his family have launched an appeal to raise £1,450 to send him to the Dance World Cup in Jersey in the summer.

Connor has been chosen along with members of the G12 Studios he attends in Glasgow. Youngsters from Edinburgh and Aberdeen have also been selected. It’s the first time Scotland has qualified for the prestigious event.

Connor’s dad, Billy, said: “We’re really proud of him. It was fantastic to watch him performing with Jason Donovan.

“Connor loved every minute of it and was disappointed when the show’s run ended. However, he has it all to look forward to again at the King’s. It was a phenomenal experience. Jason and the other stars like Karen Dunbar and Gavin Mitchell were great with him.”
