THE Royal Mail delivery office in Kilsyth could be on the move to another town.

The delivery office, situated on 90 Main Street, is currently under review and Royal Mail confirmed this week that the operation could move to share facilities with either Kirkintilloch or Cumbernauld.

Royal Mail, however, insist that no formal decision will be made until a consultation has taken place with their staff and trade unions.

The organisation also confirmed that they do not anticipate any jobs will be lost.

Postman Sandy Moffat, who has worked in the area for 25 years, however, raised his concerns about the proposals.
