Steven is fit for the finals

Steven Reynolds established Micro Fitness in 2010 to offer a way to battle childhood obesity. The firm supplies equipment and fitness training aimed at children and operates in schoold, youth groups and other organisations as well as private parties.

Former Cumbernauld High School pupil Steven (26), entered the Dragon’s Den-like Scottish EDGE competition, run by Scottish Enterprise, after it invited entrepeneurs to pitch for grants of up to £50,000. 235 firms applied and Micro Fitness is in the final 20.

The finals take place on February 12. Steven will visit the Royal Bank of Scotland head office and pitch to a judging panel consisting of Sir Willie Haughey of City Holdings, billionaire Sir Tom Hunter, Julie Grieve of the Prince’s Trust and Gordon Merrylees of RBS. Steven will have just 20 minutes to impress the judges that his company deserves to get a £50,000 boost.

Steven said: “If we are successful this would allow us to build an infrastructure throughout the UK, growing our business and creating more employment.”
