The fifth Off The Stanza poetry competition, run by Stirling Libraries as part of the Off the Page Stirling Book Festival, has been launched.

The competition will be judged by Stirling Makar Anita Govan and shortlisted poets will be invited to showcase their work during the Off the Page Stirling Book Festival.

Entries will be accepted in English or Scots and must be submitted by Friday, July 31.

A shortlist will be announced by mid-August, inviting finalists to attend an Open Mic Evening of Poetry.

The event will be hosted by Anita Govan, who will introduce the poets and their readings ahead of the official prize-giving ceremony.
