Stobhill Care Home's new pub

Residents' at Stobhill Care Home can now relax in a new room that has been fitted out to resemble a pub thanks to generous funding from one of its former residents.

She said: “Our staff manager was talking to the resident and asked what they would like and this idea came out of that.

“Our residents and their families are now enjoying a comfortable, sociable atmosphere within the pub. Some of our residents like a wee dram, and this is ideal. It brings back a bit of normality to their lives.”

The room is multi-functional and also used for a number of other activities.

The cost of buying the drinks for the pub is raised through selling football coupons to families and residents.
