Supermarket plans for Lesmahagow

A new Tesco will be located at the Truckstop just outside Lesmahagow.

And Muse Developments was granted permission to develop the old high school site, subject to various conditions.

A Lesmahagow Community Council spokesman said: "Tesco said it will open an employment centre in the village which is good news.

"But Muse needs to open better dialogue with the community council.

"We want to find out exactly what it is going to do for the village."
