More than 100 generous city taxi drivers will give up a day for free to drive the children and their carers or parents to a day of sea, sand and hopefully sun on the Ayrshire coast.

The famous event is attended by hundreds of well-wishers at the traditional starting point on Kelvin Way, before the taxis embark on their colourful expedition through Glasgow’s city centre through the southside before heading to Ayrshire.
