Teenager found dead in Neilston

The 13-year-old who died in Luckiesfauld, Neilston, attended Eastwood High School in Newton Mearns.

It is understood that pupils were told of the death at a school assembly.

Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Police spokesman said: “At 3.15am on Monday, October 1, police received a report that a 13-year-old boy had died in Luckiesfauld, Neilston.

“A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course however the death is not suspicious.”
