Thanks for budget cut help

East Dunbartopnshire Council leaders have thanked residents for attending workshops designed to help make tough decisions on budget cuts.

The last of five workshops in the area-wide ‘Your Services, Your Choices’ consultation took place recently.

Council leader Rhondda Geekie said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who have participate.

“We really appreciate the time and commitment that participants have given and value their contributions to our consultation process.

“Through all the elements of our Budget Consultation we have been encouraging people to visit our online Budget Simulator, which asks people to look at where they think savings could be made and see the consequences of those savings.”

The simulator is available on the councils website until May 30.
